Liverpool Sound City invites new bands to apply for next year’s event

liverpoolsoundcityLiverpool Sound City has invited bands to begin applying for a place at next year’s festivities.

The event has grown to become one of the UK’s biggest new music showcases since its inception in 2008, and for 2013 played host to more than 40,000 fans and over 300 artists across Liverpool, which included Noah & The Whale, AlunaGeorge, The Walkmen and Enter Shikari.

“We’re extremely excited to be planning for Liverpool Sound City 2014 and we’re definitely expecting big things,” Alex Simmonds of LSC remarks.

“Last year, there was fantastic response to our open band application process and we’re sure it will be even better this year. We’re looking for a very high level of talent and performance ability, we want something groundbreaking – basically, bands who could be the next big thing.”

New bands who wish to apply for a place next year can do so at the Apply To Play area of liverpoolsoundcity.co.uk.
