Anna Calvi has further previewed her second album ‘One Breath‘ by uploading the track ‘Suddenly‘ to Soundcloud. Have a listen below.
‘One Breath’ is ready to follow the 2011 Mercury nominated, self-titled debut record next month when it is released on October 7th through Domino. “‘One Breath’ is the moment before you’ve got to open yourself up,” Calvi has said of the album.
“And it’s about how terrifying that is. It’s scary and it’s thrilling. It’s also full of hope, because whatever has to happen hasn’t happened yet.”
John Congleton produced during sessions at the Blackbox Studios in France, after which the tapes travelled to Dallas, Texas for final mixing.
Anna Calvi starts a quick European tour this month which will arrive in the UK for London shows at Wilton’s Music Hall and the Islington Assembly Hall. A run of North American shows is then due to begin shortly thereafter.
