Biffy Clyro brought the 2013 Reading Festival to a spectacular conclusion last night (August 25th) after a set full of fireworks and pyrotechnics concluded with frontman Simon Neil setting fire to his guitar as the trio ended the main portion of their performance with ‘The Captain‘.
Meanwhile, Reading’s Saturday headliner Eminem blocked any audio or visual recording of his show amidst rumours the US rap star had mimed portions of the set, while Leeds Festival-goers will be using the last day of the Bank Holiday to scrape off the mud after parts of the weekend were hit with heavy downpours.
Thoughts are already turning to next year’s bill toppers, and after tipping Foals for a possible Main Stage headline appearance in the near future, organiser Melvin Benn has now also signalled out Chase & Status as another leading contender to head the line-up in 2014.
