The Raveonettes will release their new album ‘Observator‘ on September 10th.
Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo are promptly following up last year’s ‘Raven In The Grave‘ record – which was one of the Live4ever Ezine’s essential albums of last year – and have recorded the new LP in Hollywood’s famous Sunset Sound studios with producer Richard Gottehrer, whom the band also worked with on their 2005 album ‘Pretty In Black‘.
“The whole idea with the album title — and the song ‘Observations’ — came because I feel like I was sort of like, out there observing myself and other people and what goes on around me,” Sune Rose Wagner has told Spin.
“Some of my favorite albums are from there,” Wagner continues on the subject of Sunset Sound. “As part of the band’s 10-year anniversary I wanted to do something special. So I insisted on us going there. I did not regret that at all. I think if we had not gone there the album would be very different and not as good as it is now.”
