Bloc Party will embark on an eight-date tour of the UK this October, the band have confirmed.
The tour will begin at the Newcastle O2 Academy on October 12th, with a Scottish date due at the Glasgow O2 Academy two days later. After gigs in cities such as Birmingham and Manchester, the tour will be be brought to a close at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on October 20th. Tickets are on sale from Friday, June 22nd at 9am.
The UK tour will support Bloc Party’s comeback album ‘Four‘, whose release date of August 20th was confirmed late last month. After being written largely in New York, the record was produced by Death Cab For Cutie and At The Drive-In cohort Alex Newport.
‘Four’ will be released through Frenchkiss Records after the band confirmed a new deal with the company last March.
