Video: Foster The People, The Kooks cover Alabama Shakes in London

Foster The People were joined on-stage by Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard in London last night (April 29th).

With Pritchard on board, Foster The People covered Alabama Shakes‘ current favourite ‘Hold On‘, fan footage of which can be viewed below. The trio were performing for a third night at the Brixton Academy, as the curtain was brought down on their UK tour.

“Seeing as though it’s our last night, we’re going to do something different tonight, we’re going to do a cover. Welcome on-stage Luke Pritchard,” Mark Foster told the crowd.

During the gig, the LA band had also reflected on their rise up the indie ranks following the release of breakthrough summer anthem ‘Pumped Up Kicks‘ last year. “A year ago we were playing the Hoxton Bar And Grill which was pretty good and now we’re here, wow,” Foster said. “I got to take a moment to take it all in.”
