Radiohead have confirmed their first outdoor appearance of 2012 as they gear up for a busier year of touring following the release of ‘The Kings Of Limbs‘ last February.
For most of 2011, the band had limited the promotional duties for their eighth studio album to just one ‘secret’ performance at last summer’s Glastonbury festival, but confirmed recently they plan to tour the album more extensively over the next 12 months after a strong response to the Worthy Farm appearance.
And now those plans are beginning to take shape, with a headline appearance at Portugal’s Optimus Alive festival – due to take place in Lisbon between July 12 and 15th – following a previously announced February 2012 North American tour.
Further European dates, including a tour of the UK, are expected to be announced within the next few weeks, with guitarist Ed O’Brien indicating their live set will comprise chiefly of tracks taken from ‘The King Of Limbs’.
