Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys has unveiled details of a solo UK tour to take place this October.
Rhys has picked fellow Welsh instrumental band Y Niwl as his onstage partners for the shows, which will be kicked off at the Llandudno North Wales Theatre on October 2nd.
The songwriter will then visit cities such as Leeds, Manchester and London before closing the tour on October 13th with a gig at Ashford St Mary’s Church.
As one of the most talented musicians of his generation, Rhys has followed his initial success with the Super Furry Animals with the widely acclaimed, electronically-led side project Neon Neon, while an equally popular solo career has produced three studio albums, the most recent of which, ‘Hotel Shampoo‘, was released in February this year.
The single ‘Honey All Over‘, taken from the new record, has been issued on 12″ vinyl today (May 23rd).
