Sir Paul McCartney To Re-Release Two Solo Albums

Sir Paul McCartney will re-issue expanded editions of two solo albums, 1970’s ‘McCartney‘ and 1980’s ‘McCartney II‘, on June 13th.

Released in April 1970, ‘McCartney’ is said to have brought tensions within The Beatles to a head when Sir Paul refused to delay its date of issue, instead using the album to coincide with the official announcement of his decision to leave the legendary band.

McCartney oversaw the album’s remastering process at Abbey Road, who’s new re-issue will contain seven bonus tracks, while a special Deluxe Edition will include a new DVD and a 128-page booklet.

‘McCartney II’, also released at a time when the future of Sir Paul’s band, this time Wings, was in the balance, will have eight bonus tracks and a Deluxe Edition again encompassing a DVD and booklet.
