Liam Gallagher: ‘Blame Me and Noel For Oasis’ Split’

Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has shared the blame for the break up of Oasis in August 2009, but has hit out at the statement released by his brother Noel in the wake of their acrimonious split.

In an interview with The Guardian, Liam accepted a portion of responsibility for Oasis’ demise, saying: “Me and our kid were to blame for the split of Oasis.”

However, he was then quick to attack the statement released by Noel shortly after news broke of their now infamous fight in Paris, saying Noel’s allegation that he received a lack of support from bandmates was far from the truth.

“Absolute fucking bollocks,” he insisited. “That’s the thing that makes me want to throw up. I just look at him now and think, ‘You’re a fucking fake.'”

“It’s like, if you want to fucking leave the band, leave the band. If you want to stay at home with your kids, stay at home with your kids. If you wanna have five years off, have five years off. We’ll sit down as a band and talk about it. But don’t start going, ‘I was bullied out of the band.’ Fucking shite.”

As Noel Gallagher maintains his low profile, Beady Eye are preparing for the release of debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding‘ on February 28th.
