Glasvegas frontman James Allan has declared his band’s new album as ‘the biggest record I’ve ever heard in my life’ as they prepare for its release on April 4th.

Speaking to digital station XFM‘s Sunta, Allan was quick to dismiss any allegations of arrogance, but wasn’t shy in talking up Glasvegas’ second studio release.

“It’s just absolutely beautiful and it sounds really arrogant but I honestly think it’s the biggest record I’ve ever heard in my life,” he said.

Written in Santa Monica, Allan also described the impact their new location had on the songwriting process. “Whatever picture we’ve got from Santa Monica I’m really glad that we’ve got that one,” he explained.

“But I don’t think we’d have had that exact picture and I don’t think we’d have had those sentiments expressed the way they were expressed in Santa Monica if we’d have been in, say, Glasgow.”

The new LP is entitled ‘Euphoric /// Heartbreak \\\‘ and was recorded in London with U2 and The Killers cohort Flood. ‘The World Is Yours‘, the first taster from the new album, has been available as a free download on Glasvegas’ official website.
