Rock heavyweights Muse and Kings Of Leon have received three and two nominations respectively for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards which are set to take place in Madrid, Spain on November 7th.
Muse have been named in the Best Live and Best World Stage Performance categories, along with a nod in the Best Rock section where they will go head-to-head with Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To Mars, Ozzy Osbourne and Kings Of Leon, who are also nominated in the Best Live section.
After enjoying big success in Europe following the release of their third studio album ‘The Suburbs‘, Canadian band Arcade Fire have been nominated in the Best Alternative category and will battle with Gorillaz, Gossip, Vampire Weekend and Paramore for the prize.
Predictably, popstars Katy Perry and Lady Gaga have received the most overall nominations, with both being named in five categories including Best Pop Act, Best Song, Best Female Act and Best Video.
