24 year old Lady Gaga’sThe Fame Monster” is officially the best selling album of 2010. After shifting an amazing 5.8 million copies worldwide it relegated Eminem’s chart topper “Recovery” to the runner up spot.

‘Hey Soul Sister’ is iTunes Most Downloaded Single in 2010

Apple announced that Train’s single Hey Soul Sister was 2010 best selling single of 2010 on iTunes.

The popular tune even saw itself in the middle of some controversy when Brad Meyers and Keith Steockeler created the website Stop Advertising From Pulling a Train after hearing “Hey Soul Sister” in everything from Samsung 3D TV ads, the movie trailer for the Katherine Heigl/Josh Duhamel film “Life As We Know It,” and even a breast cancer PSA. The October obviously failed at making the song any less popular…..

This Week’s UK Charts For August 1st

Eminem remains on top of the UK Album chart for another week, while Plan B’sDefamation Of Strickland Banks‘ is a non-mover at #3. Veteran singer Tom Jones is this week’s highest new entry, with his album ‘Praise & Blame‘ debuting at no.2.

In the Singles chart, boyband The Wanted are this week’s UK number one with their track ‘All Time Low‘.

This Week’s UK Charts For July 25th

British rapper Professor Green follows up his recent Singles chart success with a high new entry for his debut album ‘Alive Till I’m Dead‘, which lands at #2, behind US superstar Eminem who retains the top spot. Outside the top ten, Oasis’ singles collection drops to #11, and The xx’s Mercury nomination helps their record climb to no.16.

This Week’s UK Charts For July 18th

Eminem’s latest album ‘Recovery‘ climbs one place to top this week’s UK Album chart, replacing last week’s number one ‘Aphrodite‘ which drops to #2. Bombay Bicycle Club’s new acoustic record ‘Flaws‘ is a new entry in the top ten at #8, while Mumford & Sons’ debut ‘Sigh No More‘ rises to no.6. Outside the top ten, The Coral debut at #16 with ‘Butterfly House‘.

Eminem’s new single ‘Not Afraid‘ becomes only the sixteenth single in Billboards chart history to debut at No.1 after it sold more than 379’000 copies in its first week! The rappers new track sits on top of the official US Hot 100 chart and raked in the highest weekly sales of 2010 so far.

Eminem, Muse To Headline T In The Park

US rapper Eminem and British rock heavyweights Muse have been confirmed as headliners for this year’s T In The Park festival, which will take place in Kinross, Scotland between 9th & 11th July.
