Primal Scream have had to cancel shows well into July after frontman Bobby Gillespie took a tumble from the stage at the Caribana festival in Switzerland last week.

It’s a blow for the band in their bid to promote new album ‘Chaosmosis’ – ‘the most concise record of their career‘ according to Live4ever’s review. Gillespie has been advised to take eight weeks rest, ending hopes of festival appearances around Europe which would’ve continued in Spain a week tomorrow.

Italy is hardest hit with three festivals cancelled in July, while a visit to Secret Garden Party in Ripton has also been affected.

Tour dates:

JUNE
Spain, Azkena Festival (17)
Ireland, Sea Sessions Donegal (25)

JULY
France, Musiques En Stock Festival (2)
Beat Herder, Lancashire (15)
Italy, Rock In Roma (18)
Italy, Acieloaperto Festival (19)
Italy, Mojotic Festival, Sestri Levante (20)
UK, Secret Garden Party, Abbots Ripton (22)
Sweden, Lisberg, Gothenburg (27)
