David Bowie heads new Record Store Day entries on UK Vinyl Singles Chart

David Bowie

Just like the UK Record Store Chart, it’s exclusive Record Store Day 2016 releases which dominate this week’s UK Vinyl Singles Chart.

And just like the aforementioned chart, it’s David Bowie who’s ahead of them all at number one with ‘TVC 15‘, while more one offs from the likes of Noel Gallagher (below), The Small Faces, Joe Strummer and Manic Street Preachers make up an almost entirely new Top 20.

Dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company last year in recognition of the continuing resurgence of the traditional format – the singles chart is compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
