Inspired by Andy Serkis, Coldplay have gone simian on the video for ‘Adventure Of a Lifetime‘ which can be seen below.

Directed by Mat Whitecross, the idea apparently came about after Chris Martin inadvertently shared a flight with Kertis, leading to a promise to collaborate. The resultant video took six months in all to create, beginning with the band performing in motion performance capture rigs and ending with Animators Mathematic working with Imaginarium.

The track is taken from Coldplay’s imminent new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams‘, which Martin has previously said is the sound of a band looking to bring together all of their favourite music, ‘from Drake to Oasis‘.

“We wanted to marry all the music that we love, from Drake to Oasis,” he’s told Rolling Stone. “There was a feeling that we don’t have anything to lose. We’re very comfortable now with the fact that we’re not for everybody.”
