D.I.D (Dog Is Dead) have confirmed the release of new single ‘Fast Food’.
The track acts a taster, if you’ll pardon the pun, for the Nottingham band’s equally new four-track EP of the same name, which will be released to iTunes and 10” vinyl on September 18th through Your Childhood Records.
“We’ve all got cabin fever from working hard in the studio in Nottingham and London and everyone’s been so patient whilst we’ve been hidden away,” lead singer Robert Milton says. “But now it’s our time and we couldn’t be more excited!”
The EP is the first batch of new material from the group since their 2012 debut long player ‘All Our Favourite Stories’. It also includes ‘Hotel‘, which was unveiled earlier on in 2015.
“Fast Food is about the petering out of a relationship,” Milton continues. “I wanted to focus on the apathetic side of things and how we cling to anything fast and easy to make us happy quickly. It’s also a comment on how easily we settle for and take what’s on offer to satisfy ourselves in the short term.”
