Arctic Monkeys have been named as the Best Live Act at this year’s Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef Awards.

The prize is the only one to be voted for by the public, and was confirmed today (July 3rd) as the event celebrates 40 years of raising funds for the Nordoff Robbins charity.

“Thanks to everyone who voted for us and helped us win this year’s Nordoff Robbins Best Live Act Award at the O2 Silver Clefs,” the band said in a statement. It’s a real honour to be chosen. Congratulations to Nordoff Robbins on their 40th birthday and for all the incredible work they do using music therapy to help people.”

Other previously confirmed winners include Primal Scream, who’ve been honoured with the Investec Icon Award and Kasabian, who were named Best Group. Iron Maiden, meanwhile, joined the likes of Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Oasis and The Clash in being named winners of the main Silver Clef Award.
