Ex Oasis star Noel Gallagher has revealed that there will be a follow-up to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ second album ‘Chasing Yesterday‘ which was released in February earlier this year.

Gallagher spoke to NME and had this to say about his third solo project: “I’m already a bit of the way into my next record. As for what it will eventually say on the cover though remains to be seen.”

On July 4th Noel and band will headline Calling Festival at London’s Clapham Common also featuring Wolf Alice, The Hives and Ryan Adams.

Commenting about his upcoming biggest solo headlining gig in the UK he told the NME: “I haven’t actually given it much thought… Not sure I see the point in over-thinking these things. Just get up there and give it 75 per cent. (One always has to save some for the aftershow.)”

Pressed for more details he added, “Fucking hell… D’you want me to tell you what colour of brown or navy blue bomber jacket I’ll be wearing an’ all?”

Gallagher recently had some fun with a fan who handed him a demo CD at his June 6th show in Boston. The band member of unknown group “The Memo” got a proper lecture on demo CD protocol from ‘The Chief’, much to the amusement of the crowd. Watch below:
