The latest X Factor winner has claimed the UK’s traditional Christmas number one.

Ben Haenow has beaten Mark Ronson‘s ‘Uptown Funk‘ to the festive top spot with ‘Something I Need‘, a cover of a One Republic song and re-establishing Simon Cowell’s unfortunate dominance of the Christmas chart after 2013’s X Factor winner Sam Bailey also went to number one last year.

Elsewhere, The Pogues‘ ‘Fairytale Of New York‘ is the highest of the established festive favourites to re-enter the chart this week, with Mariah Carey also back in the Top 20.
