Ed Sheeran, Arctic Monkeys are this year’s most streamed artists in UK

Ed Sheeran and the Arctic Monkeys have been revealed as the UK’s most streamed artists during the course of this year, but it’s Sheeran who comfortably leads the way on the global scale.

Sheeran is the most streamed global artist and also has the most streamed album thanks to ‘x‘. Also popular in the UK are Eminem, Sam Smith and Coldplay, while the most streamed track is Clean Bandit‘s ‘Rather Be‘.




The figures have all been compiled by Spotify, which reports 430m streams of Sheeran’s ‘x’ during 2014.
