Former bassist Nick Oliveri returned to the Queens Of The Stone Age fold last Friday night for a six-song encore which closed the band’s Halloween gig at The Forum in Los Angeles.

Oliveri, who was a part of Josh Homme‘s group during an era which resulted in classic hard rock albums such as ‘Rated R‘ and ‘Songs For The Deaf‘, was on stage to perform tracks including ‘Quick and to the Pointless‘, ‘Auto Pilot‘ and ‘Another Love Song‘.

Some fan footage of the evening has been shared online and can be viewed below. Oliveri first discussed the reunion with NME last month, explaining:

“Josh asked me to come up and do six songs with Queens, like an encore set. A reunion, but not a reunion. I’m going to get up and play some bass and sing some songs at the end of the show. It should be an interesting night.”

“That’s pretty much up to Josh. It’s his band, and when he pulls the trigger on something, it’s up to him,” he added on whether the return could be a lasting one. “I put myself out there a few different times in the past 10 years at Queens shows.”
