With ‘Houses Of The Holy‘ about to become the latest arrival in the Led Zeppelin reissue series on October 28th, along with the band’s officially untitled fourth album, another preview video has been released which can be viewed below.
The promo is led with a previously unheard version of ‘The Rain Song‘, one of many extra goodies which will be included on the revamped version of the album.
Guitarist Jimmy Page has been busy working on restoring Led Zeppelin’s back catalogue for most of this year, but conceded defeat in his equally determined efforts to persuade Robert Plant to get the band back out on stage for the first time since their all-too-brief return in 2007.
“If I was to play again it would be with musicians that would be…some of the names might be new to you,” he recently told NME on the possibility of instead touring with a brand new band. “I haven’t put them together yet but I’m going to do that next year. If I went out to play, I would play material that spanned everything from my recording career right back to my very, very early days with The Yardbirds. There would certainly be some new material in there as well.”
