Sun Restructured‘ will take a fresh look at Temples‘ ‘Sun Structures‘ debut album from November 10th.

The remix album has been announced with a UK tour, more of which in a moment, and has been worked on by producers Erol Alkan and Richard Norris under their Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve banner, which has come up with alternate versions of ‘Sand Dance‘, ‘Shelter Song‘, ‘A Question Isn’t Answered‘, ‘The Golden Throne‘ and ‘Move With The Season‘.

“Being asked to re-animate a whole album’s worth of material is an honour,” Alkan says. “We wanted to create something special. A record which could be listened to in one go, from start to finish, a listening experience that is becoming increasingly rare. So as well as a host of full Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve re-animations here, there are interludes, ambience, ebb and flow, each section flowing into a bigger piece.”

“We tried many things along the way – spoken word sections, days out collecting field recordings – yet ended up letting the original songs and their beautiful arrangements and melodies guide us.”

Tickets for the UK tour go on sale from this Friday (August 29th). The dates start in Bristol on November 29th and later conclude at the Riverside in Newcastle on December 11th.
