Reading/Leeds organiser has first headliner signed for 2015

randlAfter Arctic Monkeys returned to their Yorkshire roots to round off this year’s Leeds Festival on Sunday (August 24th), organiser Melvin Benn spoke with BBC Newsbeat and revealed one headliner for 2015 is already signed, sealed and delivered.

“We’ve got the first one done,” he said. “We are actually in the same position as last year, we’ve got our first headliner confirmed.”

“We are waiting for them to decide which night they want to play. Once we’ve done that then we can make the offers for the others.”

Unsurprising, Benn wouldn’t be drawn on any further details, but did drop a hint by revealing the band in question have had ‘a Top 10 album in the past year’.

Live4ever was at the Leeds Festival all weekend, taking in top shows from the likes of Fat White Family, Metronomy, Band Of Skulls, Cage The Elephant and Nico Vega. Look out for our full review coming very soon.
