Morrissey has gone back to his fansite True To You to insist again that he is no longer with Harvest Records after the release of ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business‘ in July.

Last week, the singer reported he is now ‘once again in search of a record label’, suggesting his short-lived relationship with Harvest, an arm of Capitol Records, had come to an end. However, a report on the part of Billboard soon after claimed that Harvest have a two-album deal which as they believe remains unaffected.

And so Morrissey has given more details in a statement which claims the association is over and no recording agreement was signed with the label regardless. “Both Morrissey and Morrissey’s lawyer are in possession of email correspondence from Steve Barnett (head of Capitol-Harvest Records), and also from Steve Barnett’s personal assistant, both of whom confirm that Capitol-Harvest have ended their relationship with Morrissey,” the statement reads.

“No recording Agreement with Capitol-Harvest was ever signed by Morrissey, and Morrissey retains full ownership of ‘World Peace is None Of Your Business’.”
