Precisely eight seconds of Dave Grohl screaming, “All rise!”, seems to be what Foo Fighters have decided should be the world’s first glimpse of their upcoming eighth studio album.

The short clip has been uploaded to YouTube with no further speculation as fans wait for the ‘big news’ which was promised by the band to arrive this coming Monday (August 11th).

The first studio release since 2011’s ‘Wasting Light‘ has been worked on during the majority of this year, and will showcase a group who searched for a different approach in the studio according to Dave Grohl when speaking to Zane Lowe at the start of 2014.

“I know what it sounds like and I honestly think the entire concept is really going to take people by surprise and it sounds nuts,” he said. “We recorded something the other day that’s unlike anything we’ve ever done and it starts with a fuse and then it explodes.”
