Coldplay have UK’s biggest selling album of 2014 so far

Coldplay‘s ‘Ghost Stories‘ is the UK’s biggest selling album of 2014 so far, reports the Official Charts Company.

The band’s sixth studio LP has shifted around 375,000 copies since its release in May, and is immediately ahead of Paolo Nutini‘s ‘Caustic Love‘, which has sold 329,000 units.




Sam Smith‘s ‘In The Lonely Hour‘ and Paloma Faith‘s ‘A Perfect Contradiction‘ are other albums released this year to have made the Top 10, while records whose popularity has continued from last year into this include Arctic Monkeys‘ ‘AM‘ and ‘If You Wait‘, the debut release from London Grammar.
