Weezer promise ‘Everything Will Be Alright In The End‘ when they return soon with a new album.
The band have been offering brief updates as this year has progressed, more recently in the form of the track ‘Ain’t Got Nobody‘ being previewed online. A release date has not yet been confirmed but what we do know is producer Ric Ocasek is on board having previously worked with Weezer on their first studio LP – ‘Blue Album‘ – and the ‘Green Album‘ of 2001. 2014 sees the 20th anniversary of Weezer’s debut album which, led by hit singles such as ‘Buddy Holly‘ and the popular videos of director Spike Jonze, quickly launched the band into the mainstream as frontman Rivers Cuomo proved to be one the nineties’ most unlikely rock heroes.
On the 10th anniversary, a deluxe version featuring a bonus CD of rarities and b-sides was released.
