The Pretty Reckless were the latest guests of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge series this week and performed a cover of the Oasis classic ‘Champagne Supernova‘ which you can watch below.

The band’s singer Taylor Momsen is a big fan of the Manchester band which split in 2009, telling the Metro newspaper earlier this year:

“I’d love to write with Noel Gallagher. They wrote great songs.”

“He’s wicked cool,” she continued on Liam Gallagher. “He was exactly the guy I wanted him to be – a total rock star. I haven’t met Noel yet but I hope I will.”

‘Champagne Supernova’ closed Oasis’ huge selling second album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?‘ and became one of the group’s signature anthems and a constant presence during live shows from thereon in.

The Pretty Reckless also performed their own track ‘Messed Up World‘ for Radio 1 ahead of festival appearances at Download and Isle Of Wight this weekend.
