Alex Turner is happy to continue enjoying the success of the Arctic Monkeys‘ 2013 album ‘AM‘ and is in no rush to start thinking about a follow-up.

“I’ve written a few things, but I’m not in a hurry,” he told NME. “We’re going to keep going until the summer and beyond that a little bit, maybe. I don’t know. I wouldn’t think it’ll be too soon that we do the next one.”

“It’s been going really well in America and there’s still lots of shit still to do on this album. I don’t feel, for once, that we need to rush and get on to the next thing. It seems like a good place to leave it for a minute.”

Arctic Monkeys have just completed two nights at Finsbury Park in London, and will play Marlay Park in Dublin next month. They also have headline festival appearances coming up at Reading/Leeds and T In The Park.
