Chief supports Miles Kane and Tame Impala have both been speaking to NME ahead of their gigs with Arctic Monkeys at London’s Finsbury Park, beginning tomorrow (May 23rd).

“I’m sure something is going to happen,” Kane remarks. “I don’t know of any covers. They’re really excited because it’s two massive shows and they’re good bands on. It’s gonna be a boss event. It’ll be one to remember for everyone involved. They are the biggest band around, they’re killing it.”

Meanwhile, Tame Impala mainman Kevin Parker reveals he had to be told who he had just been introduced to the first time he met the band. “I just thought they were some cool random dudes!” he says.

“Someone else had to fill me in and tell me that these guys were Arctic Monkeys and they’re a big deal. I felt pretty stupid, they’re cool people. I’m definitely looking forward to getting a drink with them while we’re over. I’m really excited.”

Arctic Monkeys have a second night in London on Saturday, and play Dublin’s Marlay Park in July. Festival headline appearances at Reading/Leeds and T In The Park are also on the horizon.
