Being one of the most famous musicians on the planet doesn’t make you immune for logistical problems – just ask Sir Paul McCartney.

The former Beatles legend was forced to postpone the first of two shows in Chile this week after his equipment failed to show up at the gig in time.

“Though I’m upset that the jumbo jet carrying all my equipment for the show has gone technical and will not arrive in Santiago in time for the show tonight, I will not cancel the concert,” McCartney said in a statement. “I would hate to disappoint our great Chilean fans so we are moving the Monday show to Wednesday this week and looking forward to having a rocking time in Santiago.”

With his latest album ‘New‘ in tow, Paul McCartney’s tour of South America takes him on to Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador and Costa Rica, after which he will travel on to Asia before returning to the American continent for dates in the US later this year.
