A few hours on from the official unveiling of their fifth studio album ‘48:13‘, Kasabian‘s track ‘eez-eh‘ received its first play on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show yesterday evening (April 28th). It is now streaming online and can be heard below.

“I felt that we had the confidence to be more direct, more honest with this album,” guitarist and chief songwriter Serge Pizzorno has said of the album. “I started to strip away layers rather than to just keep adding.”

’48:13’ is out on June 9th, a few weeks before Kasabian are due to headline Glastonbury for the first time along side Arcade Fire and one more yet to be revealed main act.

“Less is more,” frontman Tom Meighan added. “It’s direct. It is what it is. Just listen to it. We’ve had the confidence to lay ourselves bare. Serge has stripped it right back. It’s unbelievable.”

‘eez-eh‘ is all set to precede the new album on June 2nd.
