Metronomy are streaming the title-track of their new album ‘Love Letters‘ via Soundcloud (below).
The upload comes not so long after lead track ‘I’m Aquarius‘ was handed its debut as the band prepare to follow-up their Mercury nominated 2011 album ‘The English Riviera‘ on March 10th.
It was recorded at London’s Toe Rag Studios and will be previewed with gigs at the Old Market in Brighton on January 29th and the Paris Maroquinerie two days later before the start of a more comprehensive headline UK tour at the Liverpool Academy on March 13th. That tour later ends in London on March 28th.
“It’s weird, I think I’ve learnt the difference between being confident in an egotistical way and being confident in what you do,” frontman Joe Mount has told NME of the new album’s birth. “I was getting embarrassed and finding it difficult to sing things that I’d written without cringing.”
