Justin Timberlake US’ best selling album of 2013 with lowest total for two decades

Justin Timberlake secured the US’ best selling album of 2013 – albeit with the lowest total recorded by Soundscan since the organisation began collecting such data in 1991.

Timberlake’s album ‘The 20/20 Experience‘ sold 2.43 million copies in the States during the course of last year – the only album to shift more than 2 million units in the US. As a comparison, Billboard have pointed out that Adele‘s ‘21‘ was the most popular album of both 2011 and 2012 with sales of 4.41m and 5.82m respectively.




As with the UK’s best selling list which was release this week, there’s little representation from the rock world in the rundown, with the likes of Eminem, Imagine Dragons and Bruno Mars also making the Top 10.
