Chloe Howl, Ella Eyre and Sam Smith are the names on the shortlist for the 2014 Brits Critics’ Choice Award.
The relatively new addition to the Brit Awards’ category list has been won in recent years by the likes of Adele and Tom Odell, and stays loyal to the other industry tips which we have seen from MTV Brand New and BBC Sound Of….
“I have watched the Brits religiously for many years growing up,” Chloe Howl says. “The people who have won before are, to this day, some of my favourite artists and biggest inspirations.
Describing the nomination as ‘overwhelming’, Ella Eyre adds: “Two years ago I was at The Brit Awards on a school trip, and to be considered now is crazy!”
And finally Sam Smith remarks: “To be on the shortlist is incredible, and to be alongside two amazing artists is an honour. It’s so exciting!”
The 2014 Brit Awards are set to take place on February 19th at the O2 Arena in London. The Critics’ Choice winner will be revealed next week.
