Cage The Elephant have been confirmed as the main support during Foals‘ February 2014 tour of UK and Ireland, and will also perform their own headline show in London once those dates have been completed.
The gigs backing Foals begin with two nights at the Olympia in Dublin on February 4th and 5th next year, and end with back-to-back gigs at the Alexandra Palace in London on the 14th and 15th of that month. Cage The Elephant will then stay in London for a little longer and perform their own concert at the city’s Electric Ballroom venue on the 17th.
All this helps to promote the band’s new album ‘Melophobia‘; “As individuals we all had fairly vague visions for how we wanted the record to turn out,” lead singer Matt Shultz has said. “They were pretty polar. It really became a challenge to combine all these polar opposites together in a cohesive way.”
