Video: The Flaming Lips share cover of Tame Impala’s ‘Elephant’

Gig-goers have been able to get their hands on a joint EP from The Flaming Lips and Tame Impala during the bands’ current North American tour dates, and now the latest sampler from the special release has been shared with the rest of the world – have a listen to Flaming Lips’ take on Tame Impala’s stomping single ‘Elephant‘ below.

The tour closes on the first day of November in Santa Barbara, and has been offering the accompanying EP – featuring Tame Impala’s versions of ‘Are You a Hypnotist?‘ and ‘Silver Trembling Hands‘ along side The Flaming Lips’ frenetic cut of ‘Elephant’ and ‘Runway, Houses, City, Clouds‘ – to its adoring live public.

As well as their dates with Wayne Coyne and co., Tame Impala have also been on the road with The National this month, and performed with the US band at Kansas City’s Starlight Theater on October 11th and the South Side Ballroom in Dallas on the 12th.
