Paul McCartney has called on some of his celebrity friends to help him out with the video for ‘Queenie Eye‘, which can be watched below.
Inside his spiritual Abbey Road home, Macca begins a performance of the ‘New‘ album track and is soon joined by a gaggle of stars such as Johnny Depp, who appears oblivious to the fact that he could listen to the song live if he only took his headphones out, Meryl Streep, Kate Moss and Jude Law.
“It came from a street game I use to play as a kid,” Sir Paul has said of the track. “Those kind of things always stick with you. I always liked the rhythm of the chant.”
‘New’ went in at number three on the UK Album Chart last weekend, and could prove to be McCartney’s last collection of brand new material for some time; quoted in the Daily Star yesterday, he outlined his intention to stop writing new material and instead revisit a mountain of unfinished demos for any future release.
