Morrissey has apparently cancelled the release of his autobiography just three days before the scheduled release date of September 16th.
A statement put out through fansite True To You describes a ‘last minute content disagreement’ as the reason for the cancellation, and claims the singer is now pursuing a new publishing deal elsewhere.
“Although Morrissey’s Autobiography was set to be available throughout the UK on September 16th, a last-minute content disagreement between Penguin Books and Morrissey has caused the venture to collapse,” the short statement reads. “No review copies were printed, and Morrissey is now in search of a new publisher.”
2013 has been a year of cancellations for Morrissey, beginning at the turn when a North American tour was finally postponed permanently following a series of serious health problems. A planned comeback tour of South America was then also pulled halfway through due to a bout of food poisoning which swept through the band.
