The Jim Jones Revue have announced the details of a brand new single which will be released in October.
‘Collision Boogie‘ continues the theme of last year’s ‘Savage Heart‘ album, and is to be backed with another fresh cut entitled ‘Mind Field‘. Recorded at the Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire and mixed at Edwyn Collins’ West Heath Yard Studios in London, the tracks have also continued the band’s work with producer Jim Sclavunos.
“’Collision Boogie’ is a sort of personal user’s guide to some of the things that might come crashing into in life,” Jim Jones reflects. “It was originally inspired from hearing a Jamaican dancehall track blaring out of a car in Hackney; but by the time we had an arrangement together, it ended up with more of a New Orleans flavor.”
As previously reported on Live4ever, The Jim Jones Revue are set to embark on an October tour of the UK which opens up at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester.
