Surviving Clash members agree to rare BBC interview

clashsqSurviving Clash members Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon have agreed to conduct a rare joint interview for BBC 6Music, which will be recorded next month.

The former bandmates, whose iconic frontman Joe Strummer died suddenly in 2002, will sit down at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios on September 6th in front of a lucky few fans who are able to apply for tickets until midday next Sunday, August 25th, via the 6Music official website.

“I am thrilled to be talking with Mick, Paul and Topper at length on 6 Music and will be asking them about their early years, their inspirations and where life has taken them since,” Cerys Matthews, who is to host the interview, remarks.

“Their music gave a generation a voice not just in music but in the choice of how they lived their everyday lives and it still sounds as great, as fresh and loaded with good intent as music can ever be.”
