The Civil Wars have unveiled a second track set for inclusion on their self-titled sophomore album.

From This Valley‘ can be heard through Soundcloud, and follows the premiere of ‘The One That Got Away‘ earlier this year after the duo of Joy Williams and John Paul White had appeared to put the differences which caused the cancellation of a slew of tour dates in 2012 behind them.

“Patience is a virtue,” White said in a joint statement issued in May. “Yours has been appreciated. Here’s to the hope you consider it rewarded.”

“I am very glad to say that new music is coming and I am finally proud of this album,” Williams added. “A lot of soul, sweat and tears went into its creation. I hope you feel the heart in each song, that it might connect with yours. We are, each one of us, all journeying, learning and growing along this ever-evolving path.”

However, despite the plans to follow-up their Grammy winning debut apparently still progressing with today’s release, Williams more recently told the AP she is still not talking to her bandmate.

“John Paul and I aren’t speaking right now but, to me, that doesn’t determine the outcome of the band, because if we’re not speaking we can’t determine the outcome of the band at this moment,” she said.

“So the other elephant in the room is what’s happening with the band? The reality is I’m not even quite sure.”
