The Beach Boys, fresh from booting Brian Wilson out of their 50th anniversary celebrations, will perform along with pop acts such as JLS and The Saturdays in Hyde Park this summer.
A Day At The Park takes place on July 7th, and aims to be a ‘cross generational’ celebration, with acts booked to appeal to all ages.
The event is the latest to be announced as part of the new British Summer Time festival, whose main legs are due to be held over several days in July when The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, the Kaiser Chiefs and more are readf to appear.
“Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park is much, much more than just a music event,” Rob Hallett, President of International Live Touring, AEG Live, has said.
“I have always wanted to promote a show where you can take your kids and your parents. Junior can be enthralled with the Gruffalo and your daughter can scream at JLS while your parents dance around to The Beach Boys. Everyone’s happy!”
