Sir Paul McCartney, 70, once again sits on top of the Sunday Times Rich list in the musicians category – he’s been then nonstop pole sitter since the list began back in 1989 when he was “only” worth  £80m. By 1993, the  ex Beatle’s bank account had grown to £400m and today tops off at £680 – a fortune he shares with his wife Nancy Shevell.

Adele tops the 2013 Young Music Rich List of entertainers aged 30 and under. Last year’s hiatus saw the new mom recuperating from throat surgery but this did not stop her from making £10m,  increasing the value of her fortune to  £30m. The release of her James Bond theme song for Skyfall and continuing sales of her award-winning album 21 has seen her value increase by 50%.

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne and TV personality wife Sharon also feature in the list released Sunday as does Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, who shares his fortune with film star wife Gwyneth Paltrow while each of the five members of boy band One Direction are worth £5m, according to the Sunday Times.
