Morrissey has cancelled more North American tour dates after falling ill once again.
A string of US dates have already been postponed after the singer was diagnosed with Barrett’s oesophagus and a bleeding ulcer earlier this year, while other concerts were rearranged when he flew back to England to be with his sick mother.
And a statement released by Morrissey’s representative has revealed the reason for more gigs being missed over the weekend is another serious one, though Morrissey does hope to be back in time for an appearance at the Vive Latino Festival in Mexico on March 14th.
“Morrissey is presently being treated in San Francisco for ‘double pneumonia’, but remains on course to headline the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City on March 14,” the short statement reads.
If all goes to plan, that festival stop will be followed by shows in Lawrence, Lincoln, Minneapolis, Chicago, Clear Lake, Nashville and Atlanta before this month is out.
