The Courteeners heading for number one on UK Album Chart

The Courteeners are on course for their first UK number one album according to midweek figures.

The band’s third record is leading a quiet week on the UK chart, with the main competition coming from previous number ones Biffy Clyro and the Les Miserables movie soundtrack.




To date, the other new releases heading for a Top 10 place are Frightened Rabbit with their new LP ‘Pedestrian Verse‘, Eels‘ latest effort ‘Wonderful, Glorious‘ and Devlin‘s ‘A Moving Picture‘.

Further back, Pure Love – the new vehicle for former Gallows frontman Frank Carter – are set to land inside the Top 40 thanks to their debut ‘Anthems‘.

The new chart will be confirmed this coming Sunday (February 10th).
