The Pigeon Detectives, Lethal Bizzle vying for this year’s official FA Cup anthem

pigeondetectivessqLethal Bizzle and Leeds group The Pigeon Detectives are amongst the first acts to sign up for a new Battle Of Bands style competition launched by the FA to find its official song for this year’s FA Cup final.

With the 3rd round of the competition beginning this weekend, Lethal Bizzle will be first up, performing his track ‘Not a Saint‘ before the West Ham vs. Manchester United tie on Saturday (January 5th).

“I’ve watched The FA Cup since I was a boy and always dreamed of playing in it,” the urban star has said. “It’s a special competition and I’m made up to be a part of it, and hopefully I can become part of its history by producing the official FA Cup anthem. To have my music open the FA Cup Final really would be a dream come true.”

The Pigeon Detective and Devlin have also signed up to perform live during subsequent rounds, with more acts set to join shortly. After each song is aired, a video will be added to the FA’s official website, with fans voting for the song they would like to see make it to the final.
