Folks will release the new single ‘My Mother’ on February 3rd, and have also unveiled the details of a headline UK tour.
The Manchester band’s latest track can be sampled thanks to Soundcloud at the end of this article, and follows the release of Scott Anderson (vocals), Michael Beasley (guitar), Thom Fripp (guitar), Harry Gumery (bass), Wil Ackroyd (keys) and Elliot Barlow‘s (drums) debut album ‘I See Cathedrals’ last October.
Since then, they have toured with the likes of We Are Augustines and Band Of Skulls, and will head out on their own round of dates from the end of this month, beginning at the Leeds Cockpit on January 30th.
A stop at the Glasgow King Tuts moves the trip into February, with Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cambridge and London all being visited before a final gig at Middlesbrough’s Empire venue as part of the Milk club night on February 9th.
